One of the World’s Largest Banks

One of the world’s largest financial institutions sought to re-engineer its back-office trading system, which required the seamless capturing and transmission of correspondence via fax for global trade processing purposes. Lane was approached to provide a solution to meet the Bank’s specific needs. 

After careful analysis, Lane’s Passport 3000 fax server and messaging system were customized to deliver exactly what was required. The system was designed to handle the telegraphic transfer of application forms, fund transfers, confirmation returns, and other essential aspects of the Bank’s operations. Interfaces to the back-office systems were created with additional functionality, resulting in a seamless integration of Lane’s system with company-wide legacy applications.

SMS capability was also added to streamline communication, allowing the Bank to gain additional efficiency in processing transactions. When the Passport 4000 upgrade became available, the Bank began a planned and gradual migration to a centralized business server. This upgrade provided a range of essential functionality in terms of fax components that allowed the Bank to streamline international transactions and consolidate other systems into the centralized servers. 

Today, Lane’s Passport fax servers provide a centralized hub for all fax traffic within significant parts of the Bank’s operations. Thanks to ongoing enhancements and upgrades from the Lane team, the Bank has increased its capacity with more than a hundred additional ports installed in the centralized system. Today, Lane’s solution sends over 20,000 fax messages daily and has revolutionized TP ICAP’s workflow with its integrated solutions. TP ICAP can now easily send and efficiently send and receive faxes, telexes, and other business-critical documents.

Nomura International PLC

Nomura International PLC is a leading financial services group and investment bank catering to individual, institutional, corporate, and governmental clients globally.
