Lane Attends the Clinisys 2025 Customer Summit

Lane attended the third annual Clinisys Customer Summit (CCS) which was an inspiring and productive experience that brought together customers, vendors, and industry leaders. This year’s event emphasized innovation, collaboration, and the future of Clinisys’ role in transforming the global LIS/LIMS market with high-quality, cloud-based solutions. Here’s a recap of the key highlights and learnings from our time at the Summit.

Opening Reception and Sponsor Fair

The 2025 Summit kicked off with an engaging opening reception and sponsor fair, where participants connected with sponsors and explored the latest industry innovations. Visitors to sponsor booths received “Clinisys Passports” for a chance to win exclusive Oracle F1 Racing gear. This activity facilitated meaningful discussions around products, features, and future solutions.

General Session Highlights

This year’s general sessions featured presentations by Michael Robinson, Senior VP of Client Experience, and Michael Simpson, CEO of Clinisys. Key takeaways included:

  • Commitment to Innovation: Clinisys is driving forward with their CLS platform and maintaining support for legacy Sunquest products for the next 5–7 years.
  • 2025 U.S. Product Roadmap: The roadmap revealed exciting future releases, including solutions that leverage AI to transform site data, optimize material usage, and improve testing workflows.
  • Latest CLS Advances: Attendees gained insights into the evolution of the CLS platform and the innovative features Clinisys continues to develop and support.

Educational Sessions and Customer Engagement

A variety of education sessions explored topics such as Copath, Powerpath, and CLS. Highlights included:

  • A discussion with Kim Blanchard-Harris, Vice President of Support, about issue resolution strategies and key points of contact.
  • Collaborative discussions with Denise Arnold about product pricing and third-party fax integrators, including Retarus and BisCom, who have shown interest in working with Clinisys Gateway.
  • Deanna Shukis from Day Kimball Hospital shared her experience with transitioning their lab to CLS, highlighting challenges and performance improvements observed in their test environment.

Evening Fun at the Phoenix Zoo

One of the most enjoyable parts at the Summit was enjoying an evening at the Phoenix Zoo, featuring cocktails, animal encounters including a ball python, tortoise, and armadillo, and a dinner under the stars. This event provided opportunities for attendees to network with peers and clients.

Prize Drawings and Memorable Moments

At our booth, our team gave away forget-me-not seeds so customers and prospects can “grow” with Lane’s communication solutions. We also hosted a prize drawing for gardening tools and heirloom seeds, continuing the theme of growth and nurturing. Wayne Body of Provincial Health Service Authority was the lucky winner, with the prize presented by Denise Arnold of Clinisys.

Key Customer Conversations

One of the best parts of this Summit year over year is having a chance to connect with Lane customers. It is great to gather feedback and gain insight into how things are going at their organization and discuss any needs they may have. Two really great conversations this year included:

  • Ryan Pflughaupt from UnityPoint discussed resolving errors observed on the Passport when using their provided SIP, with successful results after switching to the EFAX route.
  • Clyde Allen from the University of Washington shared positive feedback about their recent system cutover and the seamless integration of their new T38 SIP trunk.

Partnerships Driving the Future

The CCS 2025 Summit highlighted Clinisys’ dedication to forging stronger partnerships with customers and vendors while driving innovation for LIS/LIMS solutions. Attendees left with actionable insights, strengthened connections, and excitement about the future of their labs.

Our team can’t wait to see how these new ideas and collaborations will shape the years ahead. We are grateful to participate in this Summit each year and can’t wait for next year.
