FAQ Friday: How Can I Send a Test Fax?

Sending a Test Fax via Passport Client Applications

If you are using the Passport Client Applications, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Windows Start button.

  2. Select Passport 4000 and choose “Send Message”.

  3. Log in with your Passport Message Server credentials and click OK.

  4. In the Destination Field, type Fax 4445556666.

  5. Enter a subject in the subject line and a memo if needed.

  6. Click Browse to attach the document you want to fax.

  7. Click Send to transmit your test fax.

Checking Fax Status

To validate the status of your fax:

  1. Open Passport 4000 and click on Message Tracker.

  2. Log in and click the All button on the left side.

  3. Click Refresh to update the list.

  4. Your fax should appear with its current status.

This allows you to confirm that your test fax was sent successfully and helps ensure your system is functioning properly.
