Lane had the opportunity to participate as a vendor at the Mayo Clinic’s September 16-17, 2025, Leveraging the Laboratory – Vision to Action conference, a two-day event focused on the future of laboratory operations and patient services. The conference covered key topics shaping the industry, including laboratory advancements, compliance and regulations, insurance claim management, capacity planning, and building a strong customer service culture to improve the client experience.
Why Lane Attended this Conference
As one of 16 vendors in attendance, including Clinisys, SCC Soft Labs, and Xifin, we were there to showcase how Lane’s faxing solutions integrate seamlessly with leading platforms like Epic, Clinisys, and Xifin, as well as other back-office applications. Our goal was to connect with healthcare leaders, highlight our integrations, and reinforce the critical role secure faxing plays in managing patient data and laboratory communications.
Lane has attended this conference in the past and it is a great way to connect with our partners and customers and meet new prospects as well.
Key Learnings
Every event provides its own takeaways, and this conference was no exception:
- Partnerships are Key – Lane continues to partner with Clinisys, Xifin, Epic and others to integrate our faxing services into EHRs. This is critical to grow and help customers.
- Conference Attendance Boosts Relationships – These events continue to be critical for relationship building and collaboration.
- Booth Presence Matters – We saw the need for backdrop banners to enhance booth visibility.
- Giveaways Create Buzz – Our flower packet giveaways with the Lane logo and contact information were a hit with attendees.
Conversations & Connections
We had valuable conversations with attendees at the booth. Highlights included:
- BV Health Systems – Interested in an online ordering form and auto-facing order placement.
- Sanford Health – Currently implementing Clinisys Atlas; faxing needs are still to be determined.
- Baptist Health – Discussed faxing and customer support; currently on RightFax but exploring integration challenges.
- Great Plains Health – Shared connections with Scott Schneider and discussed their ongoing Atlas implementation.
- CC SoftLabs – Offered to connect us with Rochester Regional’s account representative for potential integration opportunities.
- IU Health – Contact mentioned issues with their current Epic faxing solution and results processing.
- Huntsville Hospital – A familiar connection with Randall Henson; the attendee promised to pass along greetings.
These conversations confirmed both the need for better fax integrations across platforms and the importance of responsive customer support in healthcare communications.
Conference Fun & Atmosphere
The conference added a fun twist with “Passports” for attendees, encouraging them to collect stamps from each vendor to be entered into a drawing. This ensured nearly every attendee stopped by our booth, even if only briefly during the rush of stamp-collecting.
Being just a block off Broadway in Nashville added to the energy, with the lively downtown atmosphere giving vendors and attendees alike a memorable experience outside of the event.
Looking Ahead for Faxing
Our time at the Mayo Clinic, Leveraging the Laboratory conference, reinforced the importance of Lane’s role in connecting laboratories, healthcare systems, and back-office platforms. From secure faxing to customer service, the conversations we had will help shape our continued efforts to serve the healthcare community with reliable, integrated solutions.
